AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

Family, friends and community members gathered at the Greater Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Akron for a prayer vigil and fundraiser for Taylor Robinson

Robinson, 19, of Akron has been missing since May 4, 2013.  She was last seen being dropped off at a home in the 700 block of Kipling Avenue, where she works as a home healthcare aide.

Pastor Shawnte Davon Hardin held a vigil Tuesday evening to bring the community together for Robinson.

"Our first hope is that Taylor will return to her family and to her friends," Pastor Hardin said.  "That her mother, father, grandmother and aunties, as well as us, will be able to wrap our arms around her and give her kisses and hugs and tell her ‘welcome home, we're glad to have you.'"

The other purpose of the vigil was to help build a relationship with law enforcement.

Community members have hired a private investigator to help find Robinson.

"It's our hope that my presence will act as a conduit between the community and law enforcement and we'll be able to bring Taylor home safely," said Tom Fields, lead investigator with Accurate Investigative Services

When asked about updates in the case, Fields told us he has some "strong leads."
