Mumford & Sons reschedules KC show for September

BONNER SPRINGS, KS (KCTV) -

The band Mumford & Sons announced Monday that they have rescheduled their show in Kansas City.

The band will now perform Sept. 20 at Cricket Wireless Amphitheater in Bonner Springs.

This comes after the show, initially scheduled for June 17, was postponed after the band's bassist, Ted Dwane, had surgery to remove a blood clot on his brain.

The group announced on their website that Dwane "has been discharged from hospital and is on the road to a full recovery" after a successful surgery.

Despite the good news, the band decided to cancel their scheduled performances at both Bonnaroo and Telluride Festivals as well as their show at Cricket Wireless Amphitheater.

All tickets for the June 17 date will be honored. If ticket holders cannot make it to the rescheduled date, refunds are available at point of purchase.

The show is sold out, and officials do not anticipate any additional tickets becoming available.
