PHOENIX (CBS5) -

A brush fire has forced a lane closure on State Route 177 eight miles south of Superior, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Traffic was alternating through the one open lane near milepost 159. Drivers should expect delays, an ADOT spokesman said, adding there was no estimated time to reopen both lanes.

Additional information on active wildfires can be obtained through the Arizona Division of Emergency Management at www.azein.gov.

For current updates about highway closures and restrictions statewide, visit ADOT's Travel Information Site at www.az511.gov or call 511.
