PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Police said a 25-year-old man was shot and killed outside a south Phoenix home Wednesday night.

Francisco Espinoza-Jauregui was visiting the house near Broadway Road and Central Avenue about 11:55 p.m. when an SUV pulled next to him in the street and someone inside opened fire, said Phoenix police Sgt. Tommy Thompson.

The SUV drove off and Espinoza-Jauregui died in the street, Thompson said.

Thompson said police had very little to go on other than the SUV was described as possibly a Jeep Cherokee, silver, gray or gold, with tinted windows and "expensive" chrome rims with black accents.

Anyone with information about the shooting or suspects is asked to call the Phoenix Police Department Violent Crimes Bureau at 602-262-6141 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO for Spanish.
