The Northwestern District Attorney's Office told CBS 3 that Olivia Pangburn died Sunday afternoon after being struck by a truck while riding a bicycle near Amherst College.
The incident happened at about 4 p.m.
The DA's office said the 22-year-old from Newton was traveling east on College Street when she collided with the truck as it was turning into the college campus.
Pangburn was taken to Baystate Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the truck was not harmed in the collision and remained on scene.
Amherst police, Massachusetts State Police and the district attorney's office continue to investigate the incident.
