PHOENIX (CBS5) -
Police have released the name of a pedestrian who was killed after being struck by two vehicles near 107th Avenue and Buckeye Road early Tuesday morning.
The victim, Ralph Albert, 59, was dead at the scene.
The two vehicles were eastbound on Buckeye Road about 3 a.m. and the drivers each reported they felt they hit something in the road, according to a spokesman with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
Both drivers called 911, the spokesman said.
Authorities said impairment and speed were not factors.
Investigators determined that Albert was walking in the eastbound traffic lane on Buckeye Road just east of 107th Avenue within the City of Tolleson. Albert was struck by the two vehicles as he walked in the roadway.
