Masked man puts gun to worker's head, demands marijuana

Posted: Updated:

A masked man barged into a local medical marijuana dispensary and robbed two people at gunpoint.

It happened at 10:45 a.m. Thursday morning at the Relief Medical Marijuana Facility on Southeast 122nd near Glisan.

No one was hurt, but two volunteers were shaken up and the robber got away with cash and a duffel bag full of pot.

The masked man searched one of the workers and removed items from his pocket. He then grabbed the other volunteer by her hair and held a gun to the back of her head.

The robber told the man if he didn't hurry up, he would shoot the woman.

Katrina Ricalday said she was terrified. She told Fox 12 if her friend had handled the situation differently, she might have been killed.

"I told him thank you," she said. "I told him this morning that he saved my life."

The victims were forced into a bathroom while the robber told them he was waiting for his ride. Police said he also stole wallets, phones and keys.

The suspect is described as a black man, about 6'2" tall and 190 pounds. He's 25 to 30 years old, with a deep voice.

He was wearing a black mask, hoodie and gray sweatpants. Police said he got away in a newer-model dark blue Ford Explorer.
