There has never been a Powerball Jackpot winner, but that could change Saturday night when the tickets are drawn for the estimated $600 million prize.
The $600 million prize is the largest prize in the game's history and the world's second largest lottery prize, according to The Associated Press.
Powerball Jackpot was changed in January 2012, however, there have been no Connecticut winners. There have been five $1 million winners and five people who Power Played to win $2 million.
During the current Powerball run, which began on March 31, there was a total of $14,099,028 in sales in Connecticut. Those sales generate about $5.6 million to the Connecticut General Fund.
During 2012 fiscal year, Connecticut Powerball has generated more than $74.2 million in sales, which has led to $31 million to the Connecticut General Fund.
One of the luckiest stores in Connecticut is Berlin Convenience and Deli, which has had two million dollar winners in December 2012 and April 2013.
According to the Lottery Office, there are four unclaimed Powerball "Match 5" winning tickets in Connecticut. The unclaimed tickets were on April 3 for $1 million, on April 6 for $1 million, on April 6 for $2 million and on May 15 for $1 million.
