This weekend, police officers and community members will gather to remember deceased officers at the Police Memorial Commemoration.
The Sunrise Flag Raising Ceremony is the first event of the commemoration. It will begin at 7:00 a.m. on Friday at the Police Memorial Square in Huntington Park.
The Memorial Parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will march down Lakeside Avenue from East 12th Street. Representatives from Ohio, New York, Chicago and Ontario law enforcement will march. The parade will last one hour and end at the site of the Memorial Service. The Greater Cleveland Peace Officers Memorial Society invites everyone to attend.
The Cleveland International Tattoo will take place on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at the Galleria at Erieview. Dancers and musicians from across the country and around the world will perform in memory of the fallen officers. The Cleveland Pops Orchestra Ensemble will participate for the first time.
