KINGMAN, AZ (AP) -

An Aug. 19 child molestation trial has been scheduled in Mohave County Superior Court for an 83-year-old former economic development official previously convicted in a counterfeiting case.

Donald Van Brunt was indicted last year on child molestation and sexual conduct with a minor charges that accuse him of molesting two boys who since have become adults.

The Kingman Miner reports that Van Brunt previously was convicted in 1982 of conspiracy to make counterfeit currency while he and another man had a print shop in California.

He later became executive director of the Mohave County Economic Development Authority but resigned from the position when his previous conviction came to light.
