GREENWICH, CT (WFSB) -

Great Britain's Prince Harry wrapped up his visit to the United States after a trip to Greenwich, where he played in a polo match to benefit Sentebale, the charity he co-founded to help poor children and AIDS orphans in the small African nation of Lesotho.

The polo match, which Prince Harry's team won 4-3, benefited a charity he co-founded in memory of his mother, Diana.

"Sentebale has been working to help and support some of the most vulnerable children in Lesotho," said Prince Harry before lunch was served Wednesday. "We learned about and we have worked closely with the Lesotho people and most importantly the government as well."

The event was attended by many exclusive people, including fashion designer Valentino and models such as Victoria Secret's Karolina Kurkova.

The match was quite an exclusive affair.

"I don't know anyone, who is not smitten with Harry," said WFSB alum and CBS This Morning anchor Gayle King. "I am smitten with him too, but I am passed the age of 'oh my God its Harry.' I really admire what he does."

While the match is invite-only, the crowd of 400 or so people did not include Gov. Dannel Malloy, who was apparently snubbed.

"I can confirm the report is true," Malloy's deputy press secretary said. "We don't have any other comment."

Prince Harry's visit to the exclusive Greenwich Polo Club wrapped up his weeklong goodwill tour to the United States, which included a stop in New Jersey. The Garden State was hit hard by Superstorm Sandy, and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie spent some time with the British royal while he toured some of the damage left in the mammoth storm's wake.

He's also spent time in Washington, DC, visiting Arlington Cemetery and brought attention to soldiers as well as the dangers of land mines.

Greenwich is located about 30 miles from New York City and sits in the middle of the Gold Coast, as the town ranks among the wealthiest in the nation with a median income of close to $100,000.

Residents and visitors said they were excited for the royal visit to Greenwich, a town that's home to numerous celebrities.

"We're just really excited," Greenwich resident Michelle Kucsma said. "You know, I work in [New York City] and there was a lot of hub-bub in the city with him in New Jersey, so the fact that he coming out here. It's good advertising in our town."

Prince Harry was in Greenwich until about 4:30 p.m.
