Lincoln Prep resumes classes after search finds no bomb

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Classes have resumed at Lincoln College Preparatory Academy on Monday afternoon after a search of the building determined a bomb threat was a hoax.

Authorities searched the building, located at located at 2111 Woodland Ave., after being notified of a possible explosive device.

"Thankfully, no bomb was found. Therefore students will return to class shortly and lunch will be served," said district spokeswoman Eileen Houston-Stewart.

Students were evacuated about 10:30 a.m. Monday to a nearby closed middle school while the building was searched.
