CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Most of the marchers that took part in the Saturday, May 11th walk have watched the amazing story unfold this week of the three woman held captive but they are attracted to Michelle Knight's story in particular and here's why.

The crowd that rallied for Michelle said she did not have a proper homecoming.

Of the three women held in a house for some ten years, Michelle could have suffered the most - repeated beatings have left her partially deaf and required reconstructive surgery.

Many marchers knew this and shouted her name, "This is for you Michelle."

Going from bad to worse - Michelle could have been abused before she was even kidnapped.

According to reports, Michelle had a difficult home life before she was kidnapped and after she was released from the hospital she refused to see her family.

We heard she doesn't have a lot of family support, so the participants raised money for her recovery.

They marched from the MetroHealth Medical Center where she received care to the house where she was harmed.

Michelle story's has so much gravity some people came from Massillon.

At the end of the march in front of the house where the women were tortured emotions boiled over and there was a commitment from the community to do better.
