KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A Kansas City man has been charged in four robberies, including one that ended Sunday in a police standoff.

Gary P. Goodspeed, 22, faces four counts of first-degree robbery and four counts of armed criminal action.

According to court records, Goodspeed has been linked to armed robberies in February and one last weekend.

Officers said someone from a home in the 2000 block of East 70th Terrace made a call to an adult entertainment company about 10 p.m. Saturday requesting to have a woman sent to the home.

Authorities said when the woman arrived, several suspects approached her vehicle and robbed her.

Then, about two hours later, police said another call was placed requesting another woman come to the home.

However, an employee of the entertainment business recognized the phone number, realized that another employee was getting set up to be robbed and notified the police.

As officers began investigating, they observed several suspects who were initially outside the home, but went inside after they became aware of police presence.

At that time a police standoff unfolded. Officers located Goodspeed hiding in the home about 8:45 a.m. He was taken into custody.

Prosecutors requested a bond of $500,000.
