A man was killed, and another injured in Stamford shooting

STAMFORD, CT (WFSB) -

Police are investigating a shooting where one man was killed and another injured Friday.

It happened in front of the "Cut Masters" barber shop on Richmond Hill avenue around 11:30 p.m.

Officers found the two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Witnesses told officials that a gunman fired multiple rounds into a group of people.

Jeffrey McNeil, 25, was killed from the injuries sustained in the shooting. Police say he was shot in the torso.

A 44-year-old Stamford man is suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg. He was treated at an area hospital and is expected to survive.

The gunman fled the scene in a dark colored Honda. Anyone who has any details about the shooting is asked to contact Stamford Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation by calling 203-977-4417.

The shooting is the first homicide of 2013 in Stamford.
