Deputies seize about $600K worth of cocaine in Platte County bust

PLATTE COUNTY, MO (KCTV) -

Two California residents have been charged after a major cocaine bust on Interstate 29 in Platte County.

The Platte County Sheriff's Office seized more than 13 pounds of suspected cocaine during a traffic stop about 9:45 p.m. Tuesday near Interstate 435.

During a search of the suspect's van, deputies found the suspected cocaine in duffle bags located in the rear of the trunk. The estimate value of the suspected cocaine is valued at least $595,000.

Marcos Gonzalez, 36, and 38-year-old Lorena Bustos have been charged with possession of narcotics with intent to distribute.
