LAS VEGAS (FOX5/AP) -

Three people suspected in the death of Nevada's chief insurance examiner were turned over to Carson City authorities in a Las Vegas court room on Tuesday.

According to authorities, Anthony Elliot, 20; Raul Garcia, 22; and Makyla Blackmore, 20, were suspected in a robbery at the home of William McCune, 62.

According to an Associated Press report, the three appeared before a judge via video conference. They were not facing any charges in Las Vegas and did not have representation present, the AP said.

The Carson City Coroner's office reported a body found in the Carson River on Saturday was that of McCune, who was reported missing on Thursday.

The Carson City Sheriff's office said McCune's body was wrapped in duct tape and a blanket.

Authorities were able to arrest 23-year-old Michael Paul Evans on Saturday in connection to the slaying.

The sheriff's office believes McCune's death was an attempt to steal money and electronics from his home. Furlong says the suspects may not have even known McCune.

Investigators were able to connect Elliot, Garcia and Blackmore to the incident due to evidence at the scene, according to the sheriff's office. The three were captured on the Las Vegas Strip also on Saturday.

The sheriff's office said the three suspects are expected to be transferred to Carson City following the hearing in Las Vegas Justice Court.

McCune has been an insurance examiner with the state's Division of Insurance since 2009, according to the department's spokesperson.
