Michigan fans react to Monday's loss

ANN ARBOR, MI (WNEM) -

All the excitement and disappointment of the big game made for a busy night for crews in Ann Arbor.

Some students hit the streets following the upsetting loss and that forced fire crews to respond to several fires overnight.

It was an exciting night in Ann Arbor. More than 11,500 viewed the game at the Crisler Arena, and then after, there were some after-game festivities that took place.

Michigan fans say there's no doubt this season fell a little short. But once emotion turns to reflection, they know they witnessed history.

After the game, some students let their frustration and emotion get the best of them. A burned couch, a mattress set on fire, but maybe the most concerning thing that happened: a car completely inside an apartment near campus.

A couple was watching TV, then a car crashed into the room they sleep in, but thankfully, this morning everybody's OK.

The two people who were in the car fled the scene.

In Louisville, thousands of fans took the streets to celebrate. Police were forced to use pepper spray to clear the crowd from the streets. Twelve people were arrested, but police say it was mostly a peaceful celebration.
