BONNER SPRINGS, KS (KCTV) -

Bonner Springs School District issued an alert to parents following a threat geared toward one of its schools Monday morning.

Neither the district or police would identify which school was targeted.

The alert went out at 10:23 a.m.

The district recommended that based on the unspecified threat, as a precaution, all Bonner Springs educational institutions should be placed on lock out while police investigated.

As a result, Bonner Springs High School, Bonner Springs Elementary School, Clark Middle School, Head Start and the McDaniel Learning Center were all placed on lock out, meaning no one can enter the buildings, but all classes and activities continue as scheduled.

Lt. George Collins with the Bonner Springs Police Department said  the lock out was lifted at 12:15 p.m., and the threat was unfounded.
