Police seek clues after deadly shooting near 26th, Monroe

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

One person is dead and another wounded after an overnight shooting on the city's east side.

Police responded to the 2600 block of Monroe Avenue about 3 a.m. Sunday in regard to the sound of gun shots.

When officers arrived, they found a man in his 20s shot dead in the street.

A short time later, another man in his 20s showed up at an area hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.  At last check, he was listed in serious but stable condition.

Police said it is unknown what led up to the shooting and there is no suspect description.
