OVERLAND PARK, KS (KCTV) -

Overland Park firefighters had their hands full for a time Saturday morning.

Crews responded to a house fire just before 10 a.m. in the 9800 block of West 98th Terrace.

Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke and fire coming from the back of a two story residence. The fire had traveled up the rear of the house and into the first floor and the attic.

The fire was contained to home's back area.

One resident was home at the time, but was in the front yard and didn't even realize the house was on fire.

Motorists passing by on Antioch Road called 911.

No injuries are reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

Damage is estimated at $30,000.
