The side of a building came crumbling down Friday morning in Stewartsville, MO.
Employees of Sweet Sisters Gluten-Free Bakery, in Stewartsville, noticed that a few bricks came loose recently on the exterior of the building but were surprised at what happened next.
Shortly after 10 a.m. Friday, a large segment of the brick wall collapsed, leaving a gaping hole in the bakery.
Kathy Crowther, who owns the bakery, had just walked outside when the wall collapsed. Two of her sons were working inside at the time, but no one was injured.
Crowther and her husband contacted their insurance company and engineers on the scene believe that they can salvage the building that is more than 100 years old. She also said that a friend has already offered to let her use another building.
