Police have released more information about the man who disappeared and died while jogging.
Raheel Morani, 24, was reported missing April 4 after he never returned from a run in a wooded area near 164th Street and Quivera Road.
Searchers found his body April 6 in a tree line just a couple miles from his home where his family saw him last.
At first, police thought the scene was suspicious, but now say there was no foul play involved and no danger to the public.
It is not clear how Morani died.
"Because of the sensitive nature of this investigation and the family's wish for privacy, no further information will be released at this time," said Gary Mason, public information officer for the Overland Park Police Department.
Morani lived with his parents in the Deer Valley subdivision, which has sprawling homes in a newly developed area. Neighbors searched the area fields with the man's frantic family after he was reported missing.
They wanted to help however they could to add to the extensive police effort.
"I appreciate it. Can't appreciate enough for their efforts," Monti Morani, Raheel Morani's father, said.
Monti Morani stood with his wife and daughter, waiting for word of his son during the search efforts.
"We are so close to each other that we share every single thing. I don't know what happened," Almas Morani, Raheel Morani's mother, said as she wiped away tears and was comforted by her daughter.
His emotional mother asked for prayers.
"I love you. I cannot live without you," she said.
She described her son as studious and disciplined, a med student about to begin his rotations.
