FBI seeks suspects in Independence bank robbery

The FBI is investigating after a bank was robbed in Independence.

Authorities said two men walked in Metcalf Bank, located at 10801 E. 23rd St., about 11 a.m. Tuesday and gave a teller a note.

They then ran off with a bag of cash and fled south down Northern Road.

No one was hurt.

The two men were described to be 5'10 to 6' tall with a medium build, wearing dark colored hoodies, jeans, white ball caps and white tennis shoes. Both suspects also had some facial hair.
