Fans of both the Wichita State Shockers and KU Jayhawks are eagerly anticipating their Sweet Sixteen matchups.

The Shockers play Thursday night. Among the fans cheering on Wichita State will be KCTV5's Alan Shope, himself a graduate of WSU.

An estimated 10,000 WSU alumni live in the Kansas City area and many will be watching the Shockers game against LaSalle, who knocked off Kansas State University. Several area bars scheduled watch parties.

Bars will be packed for Friday night's game when the Jayhawks face Michigan in Texas.

Fans in Arlington for the game said they were quite impressed with the massive Cowboys Stadium.
