KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
Authorities throughout the Kansas City area are responding to numerous crashes because of slick roads.
The Kansas City Scout map is littered with yellow caution signs showing crashes.
A family member of a KCTV5 employee said there had been at least 10 vehicles involved in crashes on Interstate 435 between the Northland and the Legends shopping center in Kansas City, KS.
Some crashes involve rolled over vehicles.
KCTV5 Chief Meteorologist Chris Suchan said many bridges and overpasses are slick or even snow-covered. The area could see up to 2 inches of snow. Temperatures are in the 20s, allowing roads to become slick.
