Firefighters respond to gas main break near 29th, Summit

Evacuations reported after gas leak off Southwest Boulevard

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Evacuations have been ordered after a gas leak in a residential neighborhood off Southwest Boulevard.

The gas main line was broke on the city's west side about 11 a.m. Wednesday. This occurred in the 1200 block of West 29th Street.

It wasn't immediately clear who was doing the work or the number of evacuations ordered.

Crews are working to cap the break.
