Woman allegedly shot multiple times by husband files for divorce
ATLANTA (CBS46) -
The woman allegedly shot multiple times by her husband filed for divorce.
Documents obtained by CBS Atlanta show victim Adina Parson filed for divorce from suspect Michael Parson, citing the marriage is "irretrievably broken" on the grounds of "cruel treatment."
The complaint for divorce also asks for a restraining order should Michael Parson get out of jail. It says, "The Plaintiff fears that Defendant will continue to try and cause Plaintiff further irrevocable harm." The two married in 2009.
Michael Parson is accused of shooting Adina outside the couple's Sandy Springs apartment last April. She was shot eight times, including three times in the head.
Michael Parson was later found and arrested in Texas and was extradited back to Georgia.
Court documents also show Michael Parson was engaged to another woman at the time of the shooting.
