Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA (CBS46) -

Representatives from the National Weather Service were out Tuesday morning surveying damage caused by Monday night's storms to determine if it was caused by tornadoes.

Officials said the supercell storm produced an EF2, 120 mph tornado along the Meriwether-Pike County line.

The track was around 10-15 miles long, between Gay and Concord, and the path with a quarter mile wide.

Officials are still trying to determine what caused the damage in Floyd County.

A store in the town of Silver Creek in Floyd County was destroyed.

Six people in Floyd County suffered minor injuries in the storm.

Coroner Trey Litesey confirmed a man was killed in Polk County.

Litesey said James Larry Agan died after a falling tree landed on his truck during a thunderstorm Monday evening. Authorities are unsure of Agan's age.

Thousands of Georgians were without power after rain, hail and heavy winds ripped across parts of Georgia.

Trees and power lines were down throughout areas of northwest Georgia.

As of 10 a.m., Polk, Floyd, Bibb, Baldwin and Jones counties had the most reported outages.

Georgia Power officials said 73,000 customers were without power Monday night.
