SALINE COUNTY, MO (KCTV) -

Missouri Highway Patrol troopers found a large quantity of marijuana inside a vehicle's trunk during a traffic stop, according to a news release.

Troopers confiscated 9 1/2 pounds of marijuana and 6 1/4 pounds of edible marijuana candies. The drugs had been concealed in the trunk of the vehicle, according to a news release.

Troopers stopped a 2013 Hyundai Sonata for a traffic violation on eastbound Interstate 70 near mile marker 63 in Saline County. This occurred March 15.

"During the course of the traffic stop, inconsistencies and deceptive behavior of the driver and passenger led the trooper to ask for consent to search the vehicle, which was granted," according to a news release.

Randall E. Swallows, 46, and Andrew L. Manley, 22, both of Anderson, IN, face charges for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
