KANSAS CITY, MO (AP) -

Kansas City police have identified a 26-year-old New Jersey man who died after he was struck while walking along an area interstate.

Police identified the victim Tuesday as Vir G. Tiu of Garfield, N.J. Police say he was struck by at least three vehicles when he was walking along Interstate 35 on Sunday night.

Tiu was apparently in Kansas City for business, but police said in a release that it's unclear why he was on the highway.

Tiu was pronounced dead at the scene. No charges are expected.
