KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
Among those enjoying the party atmosphere before the Big 12 tournament resumed Friday was a father-daughter duo.
The Power and Light District was hopping with the Big 12 men's basketball tournament at the Sprint Center.
Grace Doornbos and her father spent Friday immersed in basketball mania and hoping for another K-State victory. Grace is becoming the Kansas State University fan her dad hopes for.
"Our family has loved K-State for years and so she's just kind of getting ingrained in it from the day she was born, K-State, K-State, K-State," Cale Doornbos said.
The little girl is learning purple pride, also enjoying time with her father and shooting hoops.
Despite the competition and rivalry, right next to the Grace is another little girl rocking the crimson and blue of the University of Kansas. Stella Randall can't talk much yet but she's already shooting hoops and sporting KU colors.
"We're big Kansas fans and we're from Joplin. We don't have tickets today . . . hopefully we'll find some," her father, Marty Randall, said about the semifinal game.
They already have tickets to the championship on Saturday and are optimistic they will see the Jayhawks play.
