In a true example of not letting anything ever hold you back, Westover senior Nytrellis Ross has come full circle after suffering a serious injury last season.
The former Patriot defensive back signed his letter of intent to attend Cumberland University on Thursday. This after missing four games because of a separated shoulder. Ross says he stuck with it though and is now seeing the fruits of his labor and hard work to get back on the field.
Cumberland fell in love with Ross' size and football IQ but he points to another force behind his success.
"We all go through things for a reason and God has a will and a destiny for everyone so going through it, basically you just stay on your knees and pray and ask God for his will to be done. We all have our own plans and our own dreams but at the end of the day its what he wants for your life." Said Ross
Ross says will major in Business Administration at Cumberland.
