KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A possible heated argument over a game of pool ended with one man shot to death and another stabbed, family members say.

The disturbance happened about 3:30 a.m. Monday at a home in the 9200 block of Eastern Ave in a neighborhood on the city's east side.

When officers arrived, they found one man dead outside of the home and another man suffering from a non-life-threatening stab wound. The homicide victim was later identified as 44-year-old Joel M. White.

Authorities say there were several people in the home at the time of the incident. Police say all the men were acquaintances.

Investigators are questioning possible witnesses, and are not searching for any other people involved.
