KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
Crews were called to the scene of an overnight fire twice Saturday morning.
The fire first started at a home near 80th Street on Walrond Avenue in south Kansas City about 3:30 a.m.
Flames quickly took over the structure.
Officials said there was no one living in the home at the time of the fire but, later in the morning, the top floor collapsed onto the remaining floor, creating some hot spots and causing the fire to rekindle. Firefighters returned to the scene and left again shortly before 8 a.m.
The home appears to be a complete loss but, luckily, no injuries were reported.
About 8:30 a.m., crews arrived to start knocking down what remained of the house.
