Daviess County authorities say missing woman found safe

DAVIESS COUNTY, MO (KCTV) -

Authorities in Daviess County, MO, said a missing woman who they thought could be in danger was found safe.

The woman's name is Kristy Jo Dixon.

She left work in Trenton, MO, on Tuesday and was headed to her home in Jamesport, but never arrived.

Dixon's car was found abandoned Thursday in a remote area near Gallatin, MO. The Missouri Highway Patrol said there were signs of forced entry.

Just over three hours after the highway patrol sent out the endangered person advisory for Dixon, they canceled it, saying she was found alive and unharmed.
