KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
Kansas City Manager Troy Schulte said the city hopes to have all residential streets plowed by Thursday.
He said the goal is to finish by Wednesday night.
"We're going to try to have every street hit by the end of the day today," he said.
Schulte complimented city road crews for their excellent and hard work.
"Now we've just got to work on our residential (streets), and they're always our bugaboo," Schulte said.
Some residents cheered when they saw a plow for the first time Wednesday. Some residents have been homebound because of snow-packed streets.
Schulte said more than 300 workers have been putting in 12-hour shifts over 80 separate snow routes.
"Every time we plow, we have to plow a two-lane road from Boston to San Diego. that's how big Kansas City is," the city manager said.
