Man in custody following high-speed chase in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

With guns drawn, a number of Kansas City police officers took a man into custody after a short chase Wednesday afternoon.

The chase began in the area of St. John Avenue and Benton Boulevard about 4:40 p.m. The chase ended at St. John and Hardesty avenues about 4:52 p.m.

The suspect was taken into custody. Police have not said why they were pursuing the man.
