Child, 7, attacked by a pit bull, Kansas City authorities say

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A 7-year-old was attacked by a pit bull inside a residence Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

The child suffered superficial injuries and will make a full recovery, authorities said. The child was taken to Children's Mercy Hospital as a precaution.

This occurred about 2:40 p.m. at a residence in the 4100 block of Olive Street in Kansas City.

At least three dogs were taken from the home.
