KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

An Oak Grove girl fighting her second battle with cancer didn't get to go see the bull riders at the Sprint Center over the weekend because she was forced to stay in the hospital.

But thanks to her family, a Raymore bull rider came to her.

"She is struggling some cancer right now, and she is about got it whipped," professional bull rider Luke Snyder said.

Bailey Bennett, 7, loves to watch bull riding.

"Bailey had tickets to PBR today, and then Friday night the doctors called," Bailey's mother, Nicole Polen, said.

The doctors said she had a lung infection and had to go back to the hospital.

"She was seriously bummed out.  Bailey likes to ride horses," Polen said.

But little did Bailey know, her family was working on a surprise.  Her aunt arranged for Snyder to visit to her hospital room before going to the Sprint Center.

"She was in shock.  She loved it, and I am so thankful that Luke could come.  She really needed that.  She was bummed that she had to go back in," Polen said.

Bailey's strength to battle her disease impressed the tough guy bull rider.

"We go out there and put our self in physical harm on purpose, and we get on these big tough bulls.  But these little girls, like Bailey, don't see it coming, and they don't ask for it.  Being in there and talking to her, she is as tough as it gets.  Tougher than any bull rider I've ever met," Snyder said.

And Bailey continues to make her mother proud.

"She is so much stronger than me, but it is hard," said Bailey's mother, Nicole Polen, who remains hopeful this time is the last time.

The type of cancer Bailey has rarely relapses a second time.  She will undergo some treatments later this week.
