Commuters are dealing with slick roads and multiple wrecks on busy interstates and highways as they make their way home.
A six-car pileup closed some lanes of Interstate 435 Friday afternoon.
The wreck was reported in the eastbound lanes of I-435 at Quivira Road about 3:45 p.m.
The two left lanes of I-435 are closed while emergency personnel work to clear the scene.
There's no word on injuries.
The area of I-435 near Grandview Road has been a popular area for crashes. While exiting, many motorists appear to experience slick ramps that haven't been completely cleared. In that specific area, the drivers are forced to make a decision to crash into another vehicle or drive off the road into a snowdrift.
