KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A Kansas City man has been charged in the November 2008 slaying of a teenager in a drive-by shooting, prosecutors said Sunday.

R. C. Moore IV, 20, has been charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action.

According to court records, witnesses said Moore was a passenger in a white Pontiac Grand Am that was seen passing by the library near 31st and Prosepct Ave.

Witnesses told police Moore directed the driver of the Grand Am to turn around after he saw someone he recognized.

Moore then fired out the back of the vehicle as they passed Michael Gant, 19, who was shot the evening of Nov. 13, 2008.

Gant's body was found by police in the back of a nearby residence.

Moore, who was a juvenile at the time of Gant's murder, has been certified to stand trial as an adult.
