Raytown standoff following domestic disturbance call ends

RAYTOWN, MO (KCTV) -

The standoff that began when officers responded to a domestic disturbance call has come to an end.

Police entered the home about 4 p.m. and found nobody inside.

It all began when police were called to East 53rd Terrace and Appleton Avenue about 1 p.m. When officers arrived they found a woman who had injuries to her face.

The woman told police her husband assaulted her and then ran back inside their home.

Police surrounded the home and were working to get the man out safely.
