KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Police said a man and woman were locked in a closet while two men went through their home.

Police were called to a home on Monroe Avenue near Gregory Boulevard Wednesday morning.

Officers said the man and woman who lived there came home about 8:30 a.m. and were forced inside by two suspects.

The couple told police they were forced into a closet and locked inside while the men went through the home, looking for personal belongings.

The two victims were able to escape and run to a neighbor's home where they called police.

Police are still looking for the two suspects.
