Wednesday is shaping up to be a nice day with partly to mostly sunny skies, but all that is expected to change as the day progresses because more snow is forecast for Wednesday night.
Channel 3 Early Warning Weather Meteorologist Scot Haney said a storm system will move off the Virginia Coast Wednesday night and it will pass well to the south of New England. That means Connecticut will be on the northern fringe of the storm, which means more snow.
Snowfall accumulations should range from a dusting to 2 inches across northern Connecticut and anywhere between 2 to 5 inches in southeastern portions of the state.
Haney said this storm will be more of a nuisance type snowfall instead of a big storm.
The snow should end by daybreak Thursday and the region should be in great shape weather-wise for the rest of the week.
