Police took a 19-year-old man into custody Tuesday morning after a standoff at an apartment in Edwardsville.
The standoff ended peacefully just after 8 a.m.
A resident of the Sun River Apartment complex called police about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday after seeing a man and a woman argue outside the apartment. The resident said the man then dragged the woman into the apartment.
The complex is located in 400 block of River Falls Drive, south of Kaw Drive and west of Interstate 435.
After police arrived on the scene, they tried to contact the man, but no one answered the door.
Police say the man, who lives in the apartment, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
