Fire forces apartment evacuation in KCK

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

At least nine people are out of their homes because of a fire in KCK.

The fire happened about 9 p.m. Sunday at a house on Tauromee Avenue near north Eighth Street.

Firefighters say the house was converted into six apartments.

Nine adults are being helped by the Red Cross because the building was evacuated. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
