KNOB NOSTER, MO (KCTV) -
Sheriff's deputies thought they were investigating a suicide but say it turned out to be a homicide.
The shooting happened about 1 a.m. Saturday on Southeast 971 Road in Knob Noster, MO.
The Johnson County Sheriff's Office got a call saying 24-year-old Danielle R. Garcia shot herself, but deputies say that is not what happened.
Responding deputies found Garcia dead on the kitchen floor of the home with an apparent gun shot wound to the head.
Authorities arrested her 23-year-old husband, Anthony Garcia, and charged him with second-degree murder. He's in jail on $250,000 bond.
