Standoff ends, suspected robber remains at large

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A robbery suspect remains on the loose after police were unable to find him after surrounding a home.

 

The man is suspected of striking a neighbor in the head with a handgun and attempting to rob him. The incident began unfolding at 2:45 p.m. and ended at 7 p.m. at a residence in the 5200 block of Norledge Avenue. 

Police entered the home and found no one there.

The suspect's neighbor told police he was in front of his residence when the man attempted to rob him.

"The suspect demanded money and struck the victim in the head with a gun," according to a news release from the Kansas City Police Department. "The suspect fled to this own residence (across the street from the victim)."
