BELTON, MO (KCTV) -
An 33-year-old man died early Sunday morning at an area hospital after a large disturbance outside a Belton bar.
Officers were called about 1 a.m. to Frankie and Johnny's Pub and Grille on the outer road of Interstate 49 near 172nd Street.
While headed to the scene, Belton police said they saw a vehicle leaving the area that was alleged to be occupied by the suspect in the assault.
Authorities stopped the vehicle and found Brad M. Richardson, of Independence, suffering from medical problems. He was taken to an area hospital where he later died.
A cause of death will not be known until autopsy results are returned, police said.
Police have not made any arrests in the case.
